My name is Urithann and I am a breast cancer survivor who through my life-changing events decided to share my knowledge and compassion with other women suffering through this devastating illness, by dedicating my professional life to them. In February 2000 I opened the York Health Boutique for Women; a healthcare boutique offering products focused toward women diagnosed with cancer.
Here at the boutique we pride ourselves in providing a warm and loving place for women diagnosed with cancer to come and be fitted for wigs, bras and prosthesis by someone who understands and knows your feelings. It is a place where pinks, mauves, flowers, antiques and lace soften the edges of the medical challenges you are experiencing. A place where your needs will be met in a feminine, inviting and encouraging atmosphere.
I know from my heart the intense emotional anxiety you are experiencing. I was diagnosed with ductal carcinoma in situ and underwent a mastectomy in December 1994. Two years later, with the cancer’s return I once again was sent into a whirlwind of surgeries, chemotherapy and radiation treatments. My desire was to bring all of the products you need to one location~one shopping trip. I know how devastating those unwanted shopping adventures can be, far from the kind we women are known to pursue!
